For Cloudbeds PIE users

Looking for a Cloudbeds PIE alternative?

MAYA runs the same kind of occupancy rules you set up in PIE, adds the signals PIE doesn't have, and connects to Cloudbeds. You stay in charge of every rule.

Your PIE rules carry over

PIE raises or lowers your rates by a percentage when occupancy crosses a level you set, optionally only within a number of days of arrival. MAYA does the same, so the rules you trust today move across as they are.

In PIEIn MAYA
Occupancy above 80%: raise 10%When a night is more than 80% full, increase the rate 10%
Occupancy below 50%, 3 days out: lower 5%When a night is less than 50% full and within 3 days, decrease the rate 5%

Like PIE, MAYA measures occupancy against the rooms you can sell, and a change comes off when its condition stops holding.

Rather not rebuild them yourself?

Send us a screenshot of your PIE rules and we'll set them up in MAYA for you, in simulation, so you can check them before anything goes live.

What you get that PIE doesn't do

Booking speed

Act on how fast a night is filling compared with your own similar past nights, not just how full it is.

Pickup

Act on rooms or revenue gained in the last 1, 3 or 7 days.

Up to four conditions per rule

Combine occupancy, booking speed, booking window and pickup in one rule.

One room type drives another

Measure your standard rooms and move your suites, or the whole property and one cottage.

Starter rules from your history

MAYA reads your Cloudbeds booking history and adds starter rules, each explained, so you don't start from a blank page.

Every night, around the clock

Nights whose bookings changed are re-priced about every five minutes, and every night up to 396 nights ahead once a day.

Test before it's live

The Rate Simulator shows what your rules would do to any night you make up, and every property starts in simulation.

Know why every price changed

The change log names the rule behind each change and explains what happened in plain English.

Switch without a gap

  1. 1

    Connect MAYA to Cloudbeds

From the Cloudbeds Marketplace or from inside MAYA. MAYA reads your bookings, room types and rates. It never changes your bookings, availability or settings.

  2. 2

Set up your rules in simulation

Send us a screenshot of your PIE rules and we'll set them up for you, or rebuild them yourself, or keep MAYA's starter rules. In simulation MAYA runs everything and sends nothing, so it can sit next to PIE safely.

  3. 3

    Watch it for a week

See what MAYA would do to each night, and why, while PIE keeps setting your rates.

  4. 4

Switch PIE off, then go live

Turn off PIE's rules in Cloudbeds first, so two tools never write the same rate. Then go live in MAYA.

What it costs

Competitively priced, often the cheapest option

In every comparison we've run, MAYA has been the cheapest option, apart from ThinkReservations' and Stayntouch's built-in yield management, which come free with those property systems.

Per room, per month, published, with no setup fee and no minimum. The whole property pays the rate of the bracket its room count falls in.

RoomsPer room, per month
1 to 20$5.50
21 to 40$5.00
41 to 60$4.00
61 to 80$3.00
81 to 500$2.50

Questions PIE users ask

Is MAYA cheaper than PIE?

Competitively priced, often the cheapest option. In every comparison we've run, MAYA has been the cheapest option, apart from ThinkReservations' and Stayntouch's built-in yield management, which come free with those property systems. Can you set up my PIE rules for me?

Yes. Send us a screenshot of your PIE rules and we'll set them up in MAYA for you, in simulation, so you can check them before anything goes live.

Will my PIE rules work in MAYA?

Yes. A PIE rule is an occupancy threshold with an optional days-to-arrival limit, and MAYA has both: an occupancy rule, plus a booking window condition if you used one. Like PIE, MAYA measures occupancy against the rooms you can sell, and a change comes off when its condition stops holding.

Can I run MAYA and PIE at the same time?

While MAYA is in simulation, yes: it sends nothing, so it can't clash with PIE. Switch PIE's rules off before you go live, because two tools writing the same base rate work against each other.

What does MAYA change in Cloudbeds?

Once you go live, one nightly price per room type, written to that room type's base rate. Rate plans that follow the base rate move by Cloudbeds' own rules. Bookings, availability, restrictions and settings are never changed.

Do PIE's competitor rate alerts carry over?

No. MAYA doesn't read competitor rates or market data. It prices from your own bookings and rates, by your rules.
